Mapleton is an unincorporated community roughly midway up the Old Mission Peninsula, along M-37 at 44°53′43″N 85°30′24″W. Mapleton was founded in 1859 by the Ogden family of New York state, with a post office opening the same year. The post office lasted until 1904. Today, despite being a small community, Mapleton is marked by signage along M-37.

The phantom town of Mapleton lies in the Old Mission Peninsula in Great Cross District, on M-37 between Traverse City and Old Mission. It began as a post office in 1877 and was ceased in 1905 and became known as a phantom town, despite the fact that there are as yet a couple of things left. Mapleton, smack in the Old Mission Peninsula, has a modest bunch of little foundations to look at: the Bad Dog Deli, Peninsula Grill and Peninsula Market food, which has the main service station nearby. Seven 1/2 miles north of Mapleton is the Old Mission beacon and three miles south of Mapleton is an old school building, presently being utilized as the Peninsula Cellars Winery. There's likewise a cool frightening burial ground, the Ogdensburg Graveyard, on Center Street (M-37). There's a Great deal to do, much to see and perpetual stuff to investigate on this little promontory. There are more secret old one-room school buildings (figure you can find them?), old houses of worship, structures, concealed rough terrain structures, numerous wineries, beguiling little bistro's, and obviously, frightening stuff, including the old Nook's Harbor Hotel, presently called "The Jolly Pumpkin". Take a drive all through the whole promontory at some point this summer...you'll be shocked and satisfied at the things you'll find!
“ Very happy with the service and results of my siding, soffit, fascia, and trim power washing. All built-up growth has been removed and no impact to the home, grass, or surrounding plants. Jason was delivering flyers in our neighborhood just when I was in the market to get my home exterior washed, and he made the quote, scheduling, and cleaning process very smooth. Professional and friendly service! ”
“ My husband and I booked Jason in for one of the early season pressure washing deals that he had posted on our neighborhood Facebook page. Jason did a great job, got the house looking beautiful, and cleaned up after himself and straightened anything that might have gotten readjusted by the hoses during the pressure washing process. I definitely would recommend Jason to do pressure washing of your vinyl sided house. Ours looks great! ”
“ Excellent company to deal with. Jason responded to our call immediately and gave us quote the same day. He did an excellent job on our home and decks. Very fair price. Highly recommend and will definitely call Anchor Pro Wash again! ”
“ Jason and his staff did a great job! They worked on my timing for the work, showed up on time, and were thorough in every aspect of the deck cleaning and power washing. ”
“ Jason was very easy to work with and was very friendly. He explained the roof cleaning process and offered to return if any areas were missed or other needs arose. He was quick in all aspects and very flexible as well, as we had to reschedule several times. Thanks Jason! ”
